Every Sunday at 9.30pm our regular teams (including The Three Daves, The Gits, and The Chutneys) pit their wits and knowledge against each other and visitors from all over. Newbies are always welcome and can be sure of an entertaining evening. 50p per person and winner takes all!
It's an engaging quiz starting with 10 pictures - here's an example (though it's bigger in real life):

Name the people, the object and the year - simple, right?
Brit Ekland, Mick Hucknall, Fats Domino, Boris Becker, Lucy someone, 1989, Zac Ephron, Lenny Henry, a toilet roll and somebody else. (So simple our webmistress doesn't know the answers).
Then there's a section on recent events in the news, Read all About it , followed by the Top 5 sections. This involves naming, for example, five countries whose name ends with an "L".
Brazil, erm, Portugal...?
Then the Trivia Trail where the last letter of the previous answer is the first letter of the next answer e.g.
1. "Jack be nimble..." - what did Jack jump over?
2. What creature faces the emu on the Australian emblem?
3. Which US state has a city called Brothers and a town named Sisters?
4. Which organisation did The Champions work for?
CandlesticK - KangaroO - OregoN - Nemesis and so on
There are 10 questions in all and it is a real brain teaser. if you don't know the answer to a question then you can try to work it out using the letters from the answers around it.
Then there is the Connections section.
This involves four apparently random questions whose answers are all connected somehow. Answer the questions for a mark each, and earn an extra mark for finding the connection.
So, if the answers to the primary questions are; Vin Diesel, Khoffi Annan, Shane Ward and Phil Neville, the connection is that they are all twins.
Finally it's the Wipe Out round. The questions seem straightforward but get one wrong and you lose all the points for this section. Get them all right and receive a 5 point bonus - that's only happened a handful of times at the Crown Inn so take that as a challenge!
Come on - come and join us this Sunday at 9.30pm - you can even have dinner here first if you fancy it.
